On Bended KneePosted by

Yorkshire England in the farmlands in a rented cotttage
Alex sighed, looking like an adult as she stared at him, "I'll try, but I won't promise anything. I can't, because I would be lying to you."
Jack did his best to be patient with Alex and her selfish needs. It was obvious she was not ready to accept the idea that Jack and Alana were lifemates. Luckily Jack had time on his side as he could spend time with her as she grows up with her siblings. Of course they still had to worry about the threat of enemies around them. Jack could no longer use magic for a century or two so he took solace that Derek could help with a great many things and was lifemates to his unborn daughter Hope. It also helped that Faith was often the voice of reason when things got heated and Suzy used her cuteness to calm things down. As for Alana, Jack loved her with every fiber of his being and was greatly relieved they could be intimate again after all the chaos they endured. Jack loved his extended family and his pregnant lifemate with all his heart. Since Jack could no longer visit his folks in the spirit realm, they spent the next few days as a family gazing at the stars, reading books to the kids or telling stories while staying at an English cottage. Jack wanted to let the kids experience a somewhat normal life before school started. Then they would be on high alert since they had to worry about constant threats.
Jack was not to eager to see Antony again despite being accepted into the clan along with Derek. Jack found Antony to be a meathead who had muscles for brains. Erik on the other hand at least had a clue since he figured out Jack secretly saved his wife and twins. Of course the twins ratted Jack out, but Erik didn't doubt it despite the lack of evidence and accepted Jack. Since they moved to the United States they were not in the loop of the affairs of the other Carpathians. Jack was now known as the Dragonseeker-Executioner and Derek was known as a Dragonseeker-Ancient, which made them important and targets at the same time. This pleased and concerned Jack since he knew they would have to go back to Romania and deal with more drama later on. After all Xaviera was still out there and she was on a mission of redemption. So till he had to fight again he wanted to enjoy peace where he could find it as he spoiled his wife and daughters with his future son in law.
Many weeks passed by as they enjoyed their vacation in the luxury RV. Jack was getting used to not using magic anymore, but saddened as he could no longer see his parents anymore. It would be a century before he could look into using it again and he would miss it so. However as the head of the family he did his best to be a good teacher for the girls. He was glad Derek could take his place as in combat and Alana's family could aid them in many ways when they checked in using online conference calls.
It was then that Jack pondered the option of living on the road for the next two decades in the RV. He learned that there was a Home School Program these days the children could learn lessons from laptop computers. Since Jack managed to learn a lot before loosing his access to his magic, he felt he could educated the children along with the Home School Program to ensure they were safe from attacks as well as intelligent. Since books were now digital it would not be hard to acquire them from anywhere. As the days passed Jack spoiled Alana and the kids with dragon rides as well as stories he learned of. He knew Alana could be stubborn so asking her to do anything she was against could prove dangerous, especially while she was pregnant with Hope. Hope was their daughter and Derek's future Life Mate so everyone had to tread carefully on that subject. Alex on the other hand was still attached to Jack and not ready to give up on him. Jack however spoiled her like a daughter and reminded her he would always love her like his own child, even if her Life Mate was a loser. Then one day Jack noticed Alana was in a good mood and he got brave enough to ask her what she thought about the idea of living in the RV for the next 20 years. Jack had Derek entertain the kids as Jack took Alana aside to talk to her.
Jack: Alana? My love, my life, my reason for being? I would like to run an idea by you and its just something to consider for now since we have lots of time.
Jack looked nervous since Alana was now wearing the pants in the relationship.
Jack: Baby......I have really enjoyed our long vacation in Europe and have learned a lot during that time. I feel the children and even Derek have become a bit closer because of it. I know Alex is still adjusting and needs more time, but I am concerned that once we go back home they may go back to their old ways. I am also concerned that we all managed to become big targets for the Vampires, ghouls, humans and even some Carpathians. Baby I have no desire to deal with that meathead Antony. I truly believe he has rocks for brains and will make us all miserable if we go back anytime soon. Sooooo....since we have the money and knowledge we can keep this trip up for another two decades till the kids are ready to leave the nest. As I understand it we can purchase some laptops and the Home School Program as well for the kids education as we travel about. If the RV gets broken we can simply buy another one. This will make it hard for our enemies to find us and allow us to be a family a bit longer. Now I know we can't do this forever, but I do know if we miss them growing up we will regret it till we pass on. So please consider it for me as your undeserving husband and lifemate who worships your mind, body and soul.
Tag (Now I know Derek is a Dragonseeker-Ancient bonded to Hope, Suzy is a Carpathian, Faith is a human, but I forgot if Alex was partially or fully turned yet.)
