Promises/Return

Magnus said, "I made a promise to you while you healed. I would court you as you deserve. You are already making that difficult, but I will do whatever it takes to keep that promise to you. You deserve happiness, little one, and I will prove I can give it to you."

She looked at him confused "why would you want to court me?" she asked curiously "I mean those are strong words for someone you just met"

"Because I saw you and my world became vibrant," he said, caressing her cheek. "You could say that it was love at first sight, but that is only the tip of the ice burg."

She unconsciously leaned into his touch "I thought males could only love their lifemates....are you saying that me and you?" She asked looking at him like she was trying to see something she could not figure out, her eyes held wisdom of someone much older than her age

Magnus said, "You and I are lifemates. I am trying to do what you would deem acceptable, as you were human first."

"But father said lifemates are important and should be claimed right away.." She said taking a step toward him "if we are then it's ok I want you to claim me" She said grabbing the hand on her cheek and putting in down her pants were e would feel her wet hot core "see I'm already ready for your claim" She said in a low tone that he could not read

Magnus groaned and said, "I never break a promise. You are important, and I want to prove to you that I see that. Besides, you need to meet with Alexander before I claim you. It is important that he puts things to right." He smiled before he kissed her deeply. It was difficult to pull away and remove his hand, but he managed. "Let that be a promise of great things to come."

She was really confused now but his kiss made it hard to think so she just nodded and followed him

He took her to the holding cell in the basement of the De La Cruz Tower. There, she saw Alexander. He ran to the bars, happy to see Megan, but then he noticed Magnus and he face fell.

"father! why are you in here?" she said in an angry shocked tone "whats the meaning of this?" she said looking at Magnus while holding her father's hands

"He has taken you and your sister against your wills and messed with your minds in ways you have yet to fully understand," he said. "We are hear so that he can remove the compulsion on you."

"I don't want to lose you, jelä," Alexander said. "No matter what you are my daughter."

He gave her an awkward hug as he removed the compulsion. He didn't fight when she wanted to get away from him.

She backed away from him until her back it Magnus' chest, he would feel the anger and hurt boiling inside of er, bu more then tat he would feel a strong power start to stir and he knew if he did not calm her something bad was going to happen

"Let's go take a walk and leave this sinner to his punishment," he said. "I want to show you where you and I will be staying."

His words did not make sense to her "why would I being staying wit you? better question what makes you think I will stay here..." she wanted to go find seren and leave this place

"Because this is the only safe place for you," he said truthfully. "And we will only be in the same sleeping chamber. Until I have courted you, I will not force you to sleep in the ground next to me. I also requested a room that will allow you to sleep in a bed, but still heal as you need to. I won't make you do something you don't want to, and I will help you if you need it. But, should you leave, vampires will be after you and human hunters will try to kill you. Please, if you must leave, wait for me so I can protect you."

She was a smart girl, if there was danger she needed to know so she could keep her and Seren safe, she would have to stay a while longer, with that thought in mind stormed out of the room

Magnus easily kept up with Megan and said, "You are angry. I know why you would be angry with that sorry excuse of a man. But why are you angry with me? I am telling you the truth. You can even start training on how to protect yourself against such villains as vampires, human butchers, and fiends like him."

"I'm mad at you because you control me too....you make me want things I don't understand," she said honestly without looking at him

"How do you think I feel, getting emotions and colors back so suddenly?" he asked. "At least I'm being a gentleman and not tying you to me without your consent, or forcing this relationship on you. And believe me, not saying the binding words is killing me! I'm asking for you to date me and to do whatever you want, as long as I can play bodyguard outside of this school." He gave her his phone number. "You can use this to call me if you want to talk, or you can talk to me in your mind if you have need of me."

She took it "why are you being this way? I thought males need the claim?" She said looking at him suspiciously

"We do," he admitted. "Finding our lifemate and binding her to us means we won't turn vampire. I may be ancient, little one, but I am not going to turn anytime soon."

It wasn't strictly the truth. He could turn any moment, but he had enough willpower to keep the darkness at bay a few months longer. Not binding her made it difficult but not impossible. He would fight his demon however long she needed him to. As long as she was happy, it was enough for him.

She stopped and looked at him "those words would really keep you from turing into a vampire?" She asked in a curious tone "words are just words...I dont get it"

"I don't think it's the words so much as the meaning behind them," he said. "They are a promise, from one half of the soul to the other, saying if you help make us whole, I will never let you be truly unhappy. You could also see it as an unbreakable spell, where I tie your soul to mine. But it is really a marriage."

"If its like that im not sure I will ever be ready...that being said...if you are ever about to turn...I mean I would rather you said the words then you become a monster" She said looking away from him

Maddox said, "I have been without emotions, but I never said a word I did not mean after my fiftieth birthday. If I didn't mean it, I didn't say it. You can mean something, even when you are emotionless. Try."

She thought for a moment "For a little while...you were the only person I wanted to trust"

"And I go and mess it up trying to prove a point," he said, sitting down, dejected. "I'm sorry. I always planned on destroying the vampire. I just wanted you to admit that I had a right to protect you when things got tough. Some point I made when it drove the only person who matters away."

"I'm here aren't I..." She said and went over to him "Show me now....show me what you didn't then....show me my first good Carpathian"

Maddox said, "To be honest, I don't know where to begin." He looked at her and exposed his neck. "While I think, you can feed from me. Take what I offer freely."

"if that is what you need" She said and sat in his lap which would surprise him, she licked his neck before she gently bit into it, her lips were warm and soft

He groaned, cradling her to him. "Please, say the binding words and mean them. Because I am fighting to keep my hands from roaming and ravishing you right here and now."

Then dont fight...you wanted me to say them like I am the male then I will...you didnt say them until you were pounding inside me she said into his head bluntly has she showed him the image of him pounding inside of her in the clock tower

He laid Serenity down, thinking their clothes away. He kissed down her until he found her bud. I claimed you while you were under compulsion, Serenity. That's what freed you. I claimed your body after that.

She arched in response to his lips you claimed more than that then she said honestly, letting him feel how she had started to care for him

I'm sorry that I hurt you, he said as his tongue stabbed deep. That was never my intention. Allow me to make you feel good as an apology.

She cried out as her hands played with his hair I dont want you to do this because you want to make up for something...but because you want to she said honestly

His fingers replaced his tongue and said, Who says I can't do both. I want to apologize to you in the best way I know how, and I thoroughly enjoy filling you with such pleasure that your eyes darken with desire and love. When your body clenches around me, it is like heaven. So yes, I'm making up for my idiocy and because I want to make love to my lovely lifemate.

She tightened around his fingers making me go crazy is not fair though she said wiggling under his touch

Maddox blanketed her, his member teasing her entrance. Say the first line, my love. Please. I need to hear it.

He entered her, moving slowly. "You have to mean the words, Serenity, or they mean nothing and you will remain without emotions and colors." His hips moved slowly, building the fire all over again. "Come back to me, my love."

She growled and moaned, how could she mean them, logically she played the words in her head and knew she could not mean them, not yet "I'm sorry...I cant..even before he did this I know I do not feel this way...we just met...I can't mean such words of love" she said sounding almost sad

He kept moving slowly as he said, "It's about meaning them with your heart and soul, with your very being. You are thinking too much, Serenity. Just feel and when the words come out, you will mean them."

She wiggled beneath him, her body demanding him to move faster "I cant...I cant..." She said and fear filled her chest which made her gasp, thinking it was the words she tried again and said the second verse

He didn't pick up the pace. "You are still thinking too hard. Just feel what I am doing, don't force it."

She cried out in frustration, her nails digging into his waist "Its not that easy! its hard to think!" Se said once more wiggling beneath him "please...help me" se said with a small amount of emotion in her tone

He moved a little faster and said, "Give yourself up to feeling. Nothing else. Just feel with me."

Her mind slammed into his, clinging to his emotions as her body arched underneath him at their joined pleasure, taking his emotions like they were her own
