Walking, walking and walking

---- The outskirts of Skeldergate, afternoon, 1 DSTR ----

Gareth had stayed behind Ceriden most of the day and haven't really said anything. He had simply kept, what he deemed to be a, safe distance from Ponce at all time and avoided looking at him entirely.

As they had just been walking all day, Gareth have had plenty of time to think things through. His life had changed radically within the last 48 hours and it was still hard for him to adapt to it. Nonetheless, as they were walking he started to really notice all the different sights and sounds around him like the birds singing in the trees above and the warmth of the sun shining through the branches every now and then. All these expressions were completely new to him, as he had spent the most of his life locked up in a dark dungeon deep below earth’s surface. It was like seeing it all for the very first time.

Despite it all being new to him he also felt something familiar about it, though he couldn’t put a finger on what exactly it was. While walking he tried to figure out why he might be feeling this way, picking up leaves and sticks every now and them, carefully studying them from every angle.

The woods around him almost made him forget all about the company of both Ceriden and Ponce (and of course the zombies) right until he saw the sunlight starting to fade in the distance. Despite noticing this he kept on walking because he awaited Ceriden to determine when they were to make camp.
