The First Spark

(OOC- SilverCloud's last post says that it's afternoon, which is contradicting to your post, Nim, which suggests that it is still morning. The group has been walking for a while, so I think it is sensible to assume that time has passed.)

Afternoon, 1 DSTR-

Ponce had made sure to stand about as close to Ceriden as possible, so that Gareth would be able to walk a bit behind without being to far back. Ponce had become rather accustomed with whatever the relationship between him and the vampire currently was. But, he had offered to carry the ex-knights armor, which showed that Gareth didn't have complete disdain for him. It gave him hope.

He felt as if the silence began to numb him. He found himslef midlessly walking, the lack of thoughts had made it seem as if time was flying by. And then it halted, Ceriden's voice cutting through the silence like a razor.

"So, how long have you known about your gift of magic, and how do you usually trigger it?"

Ponce turned his head, losing himslef in thought. He hadn't thought about that for a while...

"The first time..." He began, though prematurely.

The scar on his nose. He remebered how he had gotten it. He had takled back to his father, but that wasn't all that happened. His father slashed at him, and then he felt it. The same energy he had felt when he attacked Gareth. It was weaker then, but he knew that it wasn't normal. He wasn't sure what to make of it then, so he dismissed it.

"The first time, my father had...disciplined me. And I felt a sort of, spark. It was just like...earlier, except not as intense."

He crossed his arms, brow beginning to furrow. No wonder it had been so long since he had thought about that day. No wonder seemingly every other possible thing he could think about was so much more appealing.

"Everytime, it was because I was angry, or distressed. Mis emociones, my emotions seem to influence my magic. But I could never seem to use it when I wasn't in emotional turmoil. I would try to do spells I had seen in the circuses, but I suppose magic doesn't quite work like that."
