Defeated by a pony

In his eagerness to get away from this town Artem didn't give the dwarf a second glance as soon as he had agreed to let him buy his pony. "Thanks. You're a real life saver" he said with a smile as he handed the dwarf his coinpurse and grabbed the ponys reins. He quickly got in the saddle and drowe his heels into the poor ponys flanks. This however turned out to be a big mistake.

Only seconds after having mounted the pony, the rather small creature started bucking and jumping around like crazy. This completly caught Artem off guard and despite of all his experience with horses he could only hold on for a few seconds. With a hard thud he landed on the ground in the middle of the street. He had his air knocked out by the hard landing so it took him a little while to catch his breath once more.

All around him he could hear people laughing as he got back up on his feet. Having been humiliated by a dwarf and his pony, and now covered in dust Artem had no way of getting away from this with any sort of dignity, even if he had had any to begin with.

Trying to ignore the laughter around him he walked back up to the dwarf and angrily grabbed his coinpurse back from the dwarfs hands. "The deal's off... You can keep your stupid miniature beast. I don't need it anyway..." Artem grumbled and turned around to simply leave the scene, though it was hard to get away from all of this unwanted attention.
