Unfaithful loyalties

“Artem.” The strangers name rolled off her tongue in an inquisitive fashion. For all she knew, the name was fake, and he was not hired by Lady Hibiscus. Taking in his full appearance, she stepped away from her door placing about three feet of space between herself and him. “I am sure she could be very worried, which is why I am only left to wonder why she would hire you.” In a very matter-of-fact way, she folded her hands and tilted her head up. “Why is it that I have a feeling your loyalties to the Hibiscus family could be bought out? Seems rather... odd for them to entrust the safety of their daughter to you.” The front of the house looked quaint, which could only have interested a stranger if the stranger needed a night’s stay in a mangy lodge. But, she knew very well, that she wouldn’t allow a stranger to be on the inside. First editions, pure silver dining gadgets, gold rimmed china, mermaid sea glass, and other rare extravagant items could be found throughout the home. A slight breeze made its way through the woods, forcing her to pull the cloak closer together in the front.
