Camping vs. an Inn

Scoffing at his ‘noble’ cause she returned a smile. “I think it is unlikely because you smell like trouble. Or someone who has traveled for days- you take your pick.” Matching his stride, she contemplated his statement. Not being bothered by others if they don’t cause him trouble- seems oddly subjective to her. But, how many people really want to get caught up in the black and white matters of society? Especially when one kingdom wants only one breed of the world to make up of its population. She concluded that Artem must belong to Dalen, or none at all.

“I can promise that I won’t harm or eat your horse, and I promise that I won’t eat you.” Purposefully leaving out a promise to not harm him, she let her eyes scan the empty forest. She had to make a decision to walk forever- or so it felt when you had another option- or seek out the portal.

“Well since you asked if you could travel with me, I will give you my answer; no.” This conclusion came about after she mulled over the possibility of camping. Camping with not just a stranger, but one that avoided providing evidence he was hired by Lady Hibiscus, seemed dangerous.
