One Last Gambit

Ceriden was tiring quickly. At this point, he knew he was slowing the group down, but there wasn't much he could do about it.

He paused for another breather and put down a third explosive sigil. The hunters would probably be expecting the traps by this point, but the fear of accidentally stumbling onto one of these would hopefully cause the hunter's to move at a much slower pace.

Once he was done concealing the trap, he jogged ahead to join the others. "Lets change up our route a bit," Ceriden called out before taking a forty-five degree turn to the right and moving in that direction.

More time passed. Eventually, Ceriden had to pause for another breath, and the group came to a halt. "Alright guys, I have one more trick up my sleaves, and if this doesn't work, then it was nice knowing you," Ceriden panted. "They are likely tracking our steps at this point, so I believe the only way we're going to be able to shake them is if we stop making footprints. And the only way we're going to be able to do that is to levitate. I'm going to try to carry all of us telekinetically for as long as I am able to do so."

Ceriden checked to make sure the spy was still securely fastened to Sabina's horse, then took a breath. "So, are you guys ready?"
