Epiphany?

"I think I have to.. get you another person to.. experiment on."

"That seems to be the case, yes," Ceriden replied, staring at the hole in the spy's chest. After a moment, Ceriden continued, "I can live with that."

Ceriden pulled one of Sabina's dresses out of the bag. Using what little magic he had left, Ceriden dampened the dress and gave it to Gareth to clean himself off with. Ceriden felt himself become lightheaded as he did so. "I really need to take a nap," he mumbled.

As Gareth cleaned himself off, Ceriden found himself staring at Gareth's face as he considered the vampire's unusually remarkable appetite. After a few moment's Gareth seemed to notice Ceriden's gaze. "I... I just realized you're not just a vampire. Are you... also a ghoul?" Ceriden was kind of afraid of offending Gareth, but as he had said earlier, they needed to get everything in the open in order to most effectively trust each other.
