To War We Go

~Jemma Evilian~

"Rest today. Tomorrow, Jemma will be fitted for a full set of gear. I have contracted the dwarf Nabbi to create it for you. Thomas, Cerulea you will both have your gear checked by him as well. The day after, you will all be present at the training grounds at sunrise. You will be bathed and fed before arrival. You will be in my care until sunset. For one month you will do nothing but what I tell you. After that, we shall see. Understand?"
I nodded. "I understand, Διδασκάλισσα."
To myself I was thinking Gear?. I just hoped it could come in pink. Or blue.

Lea nodded at Myrine's instruction. She knew she needed the training. As to what gear she had, none of it would meet Myrine's approval - of that she was fairly sure. She wasn't entirely looking forward to the surprise of what the next few days had in store.
But she was looking forward to seeing Thomas for a majority of those days.

Mildly nonplussed at Kaylara's speech I glanced between Luke and my brother, then the two other Immortals in the bushes with us.
Callum spoke first. "Círdan's trap will be a hunt, some monster we can't refuse to kill. He'll lure us somewhere secluded with it and try to kill us then. And he'll bring others to kill anyone that comes with us. He knows we'll know it's a trap, but he'll set in in such a way we have to do it."
There was silence for a moment, until I voiced my own thoughts.
"I think, in order to properly defeat our wayward apprentice, we'll need to spring the trap he sets. I don't need you to come with us - it's not your responsibility - I just need you to promise that whatever happens to myself and Callum, you will look after the others."

"Hunters! We are now at war! Círdan the Druid and his allies are from this day forth our enemies. Wherever they are, crush them! Drive them from the land! Leave not one alive!"
Nathan's expression turned grim as he hung up from a call to Devon Courtenay. "That would explain the ambush. Apparently this Círdan took quite a chunk out of our numbers. There's maybe a hundred dead already and more are missing."
Nina bowed her head and hugged her knees. They'd reached a safehouse shortly after the ambush and had been recuperating for the past half hour. Nina, Nathan and Emil were sitting in a living room area, Emil with his arm in a sling, and the other members of their team were standing around the room.
Quietly, almost too soft to be heard, Nina asked; "My father?"
Nathan sighed and ran a hand through his hair, a habit of his. "I don't know, Nina. Devon didn't really give specifics. But I wouldn't get my hopes up."

"Hunters! We are now at war! Círdan the Druid and his allies are from this day forth our enemies. Wherever they are, crush them! Drive them from the land! Leave not one alive!"
Kaylara Eldsteen's voice rang throughout the Camp. I swallowed nervously. Obviously Círdan had just done something very, very bad to the Hunters, and I had a sinking feeling as I began to wonder just what lengths the man might go to to get his pound of flesh.

~Círdan Ó Gealbháin~

I turned to Andrej who'd just recently returned from slaughtering the Hunters in Czech. "Release the Beast."
