Digging up your Dead Wife

Balar raced to his wife's grave, skidding to his halt as he reached the stones. A large Raven sat atop her resting place and as he crouched to start throwing the stones aside the bird cawed angrily and began to peck and claw.

Balar would not be detered. Using his shovel as a club he batted the Raven away until at last it got the message and flew away cawing in protest. The bird out of the way Balar set about his grim task.

He made short work of the excavation and was soon dragging Tiellas corpse from the frozen soil. He silently thanked what God's remained for the cold which slowed the rot and decay and to some extent lessened his disgust at what he was being forced to do.
