Down to the Water

Balar stepped back onto the lake shore carrying the body. He glanced at the others spotting Luna nearby sharing worried looks between the small dot in the sky that was now Kespin and Olin and Cali who were as always as thick as thieves.

Erik was carrying Dyvia from her tent with similar designs to his own. Good perhaps these healing waters could bring them all some much needed comfort. He looked down at Tiella, her dirt smeared face silent and at peace. A small voice inside him cried out against the dangers of what he was about to do... the futility of it even, but he pushed that voice away.

He remembered the draugh he had seen then, shambling down the bank as the dragon approached. He was nowhere to be seen now. That was odd. perhaps he had been caught in the dragons fire?

As he approached the lake the damned Raven returned to alight on a nearby tree branch. It was silent as it watched him and for some reason Balar could not shake the feeling of disapproval from the bird. Stupid, just stupid. It was a bird nothing more. The newest companions in their little band of warriors looked on with a mixture of confusion and interest, Theo, Varan and the Dwarf Dimm. He nodded towards them as he stepped into the cold waters once more.
