Is the grass really greener?

Everyone was in such a rush running and chasing. Worse. Fairies. Great. Not that Olin was in tip top perhaps or even battle ready but he was able to Dave the wind to sniff out and followed his the party as they fumble around and … trusting fairies no less decided to leap into a fairy ring.

"Oh … nothing bad ever happened from jumping in a fairy ring." Olin said dryly. But it was already too late as their fearless leader already dove headfirst.

“How bad can it be?” Varan asked, regretting the question as soon as it left her mouth. “Wait, don’t answer that, I don’t think I want to know. “ But the Jotunn went through, and she was promised that she could fight the Jotunn at some point, there was that. “Sure, they lie, and trick elves and lead them to their deaths. But we go in knowing that.”

"Oh this will only end in tears. Sexy, sexy tears." Olin takes. "Well I suppose that's enough hemming and hawing shall we my frost flower?" He said motioning to the portal.

A giggle she didn’t recognize, more akin to a pre-teenage child escaped her lips. Any fear she had of being true of heart was gone. She had her ice daggers, shadowy and black, by fire and ash, she would flay the fae who dared try to harm Olin. Without further hesitation, she stepped through the falls, Olin at her heels.

Once through the falls, they were greeted not by beautiful snow and ice, but a green meadow full of buzzing insects and birds. The ground prickled the ice half-elf's feet. “You were right,” she commented to Olin, looking around. “You were right.”
