Overwhelmed

"What the fu...." Balar dove to one side as a tide of what could only be described as zombie rabbits drove past him like a flood and began to consume the corpse that had until recently been the avatar for Hela. The creatures were everywhere, summoned by Cali and ravenous for rotten meat.

One of the trolls that Heimdall had been fighting was swarmed by the foul rodents and fell to the ground in a squelching pile of regenerating flesh and gore. The image of the garden had faded entirely now leaving them standing once more in a vast field of death. The Draugr were rising all around them and in the distance thousands of figures were rising from the earth.

There came a screech from above and Balar looked up just in time to see the rotten forms of Valkyries descending upon them. They circled lower and lower, each bearing their dark swords and spears.

"We need to call Hela forth, to make her reveal herself before we are overwhelmed!" Balar called to the others.

Tiella fought her way to his side using her dagger to siphon and release death energy, holding the tide of death at bay.

"This place is as much illusion as they garden," she screamed out, "We are within the halls of the dead, if we can not call her forth then we must seek her out. We need to access the throne room."

"They are correct." boomed the voice of Heimdall as he fought the remaining troll, "I see the truth of it but can not break her power. We either summon her into this nightmare or escape it ourselves and attack her at the very heart of her power!"

As if to hammer home the point the air was rent by an earsplitting roar joined by the beating of wings. High above where the Valkyrie gathered now like a cloud green lightning forked through the sky to reveal the vast bodies of two great dragons. The air boomed with laughter as the goddess Hela looked on from the saftey of her hall.
