Dim doesn't get the hostility

Dim didn't understand much of the conversation that was ensuing between the people of the group. This was normal. But in this case he had the distinct feeling a lot had happened to them, and Dim hadn't been there for it. Which made it not really his problem at all.

But when the stranger unveiled himself and the group immediately turned hostile, Dim felt he had to get involved. There had to be some easy explanation for this hostility, some misunderstanding!

He stood in front of the stranger, spread his arms wide and said: "STOP! This guy is nice! Look!" He stepped aside, pointed down and said: "He gave me my fire back!"
