He couldn't sleep. He hadn't slept in days, but he felt wide awake. He sat back against the roof access door, looking up at the night sky. The frigid wind in his face only felt like a cool breeze. The adrenaline was still coursing through him. His dark clothes were still bloody. He didn't quite remember how he got up here or where exactly he was. It wasn't a good sign.

He stood up, feeling worried. He needed to get out of the city. The time was approaching. He hadn't planned this out as well as he should have when he came here a month ago. He needed to find a safe place in the next few days, or... it wouldn't be pretty.

For now, he just needed to find his way back to his little hideout. He started by climbing down the fire escape.

He made it to street-level. It was a good thing he was wearing black, or the red stains would be very visible.
