The Falcon's In Town

Freddy pulled in to the Jackalope Inn and quickly parked near the front office. When he stepped inside he was met by a young woman who looked far too thin and was wearing too much black leather for this kind of heat. He forced a smile and slipped a couple twenties out of his pocket and onto the desk in front of her.

"I'm looking for some friends of mine. Might have spent the night here last night? Care to help me out?"

The goth girl made a sharp popping sound with the wad of gum she was chewing and looked at the money Freddy had offered. "Should I be worried?"

"No. No." Freddy shook his head and smiled. "I'm just needing to find them. Buddy left his asthma inhaler back at our hotel room in Vegas. I just wanna get it back to him in case he needs it."

"Uh huh," The girl wasn't buying any of it, but took the money anyways. "What'd they look like?"

"Two guys, one is bald and wears a baseball cap to hide it. The other a leather jacket and is sportin' a golden mullet. They were driving a red piece of crap from the nineties."

"Didn't see anyone like that order a room last night, or the night before that, or ever. Sorry." The girl popped her gum again.

Freddy sighed, "You sure?"

"Yeah. I'd have told you if I did." She winked at him.

"Alright... well I'm gonna be in town for a while so I'd like a room." Freddy paid for the room and then returned to his car to continue his search. He needed to find someone who had their ear to the ground. Kept stock of all the shady goings on in the town. Luckily, he knew just the person to go see...
