Rayne gave him a look "come again?" she asked sitting next to him. "was there a chance i was going to be something els?" images of her as a zombir or were person ran threw her mind.

Gus shook his head, "Never mind. I just had a rough afternoon..."

After a moment she asked "you still on for going out?"

"Yeah, I need to decompress after today..." Gus nodded and grabbed his coat and gestured for Rayne to lead the way as he switched off the store lights.

Taking a deep breath carson decided she couldn't hide from him forever and met them right as they were coming out. She knew he vould see her now really see her. Things would be different now. She waited for his judgment of her and watvhed his face closely. "hello Joseph." she figured since he now saw her it was only fair for her to see him.

Gus looked up at Carson and his eyes widened slightly in surprise. But it was a pleasant surprise. Carson's true form was way more appealing than the pasty Greys and the strange creatures he saw at the golf course. In some ways, her "hair" reminded him of a Native American headdress. Very beautiful. Colorful, with the same eyes that saw more than she let on. Gus wondered if he had the same look now.

Gus smiled warmly. His subtle tell that he wasn't bothered by seeing Carson in her true form. And while he had a billion questions, he figured now was not the time to ask her.

as she staired at him it was clear, though the eyes looked different they still had the same depth to them, Carson still had the same peirceing gaze she had always had. She wasnt thrilled he knew her true from but she wasnt going to keep trying to hide from him.
Rayne stood to the side totally confused anf wondering why gus was looking at carson like she grew a new head. Anf who the hell was Joseph ? Sure carson was weird and rayne new some stuff. But one she didnt look all that weird and two she didnt think gus knew about the other stuff.
"um.... Everything.... Ok with you two?" she chipped in.

Gus almost didn't hear Rayne and snapped out of his brief fugue. "Yeah. It's cool." He assured Rayne, then looked to Carson. "Joseph is a name that hasn't held value to me for years. I prefer my friends call me Gus, so call me Gus." He smiled again. "You do something with your hair?" He asked, deciding to cover up the weirdness that Rayne no doubt picked up. Gus wasn't sure what Rayne knew, and he didn't want to inadvertently reveal secrets Carson wanted to keep secret. "It looks very nice."

After settling things Gus asked. "So where did you two want to go for dinner? The diner's always open. That sound good? I'm buying."

When things were decided the three of them got into Rayne's truck and departed.
