The Next Target

Thorne’s question brought a dry chuckle to Lawrence.
“As much as one can enjoy a luxurious paradise.”
In truth he had more trouble than he thought. Turns out the fat cats he had wanted to prey upon were more aware of their coin purses than expected.
Looking to the offered meal, his stomach clenched at the sight. It looked no different than any other meal provided, yet the passengers already there or arriving were treating it like a rare gift.
Gathering a small plate for himself, he cautiously bit into some kind of meat. It seemed to be the only food the “cook” could salvage into anything edible.
“I must admit, this Mr. Roose does well with what he is provided.”
Well enough for my stomach to not want death
“Has our next destination been made, if I might ask?”
