"Oh no Mr. Bishop," Sophie said with a slight shake of her head. "We couldn't possibly trouble you for anything when you've been so graciously welcoming."

She leaned forward ever so slightly as she said it, being certain to catch William's eyes with her own luminous green ones. Once his gaze met hers, she knew from the expression on his face that she had him.

Now, she thought, let's see what I can do with you.

Sophie drained the man of his evening's memories, taking away all thoughts of her and her companion's true identities and replacing them with thoughts of Olga and Irina, two wives of some Russian oligarchs somewhere who had decided Toronto was the place to be that weekend to escape the American Thanksgiving transportation rush and hullabaloo they'd have found in New York City.

As the wives of rich and powerful mortals, it was the welcome they would expect upon their arrival in Toronto; the welcome William would have thought to have given them.

As soon as they were free of the watchful eyes, they could don their new identities and disappear into the underbelly of the city.
