Blood Debt

Mar went to the secret door Jin'Lor escaped into and found it locked. Yet when he tried to strike it with his lighsaber he was angered to find it was protected with a cortosis layer. He looked to Keran and Quint and hissed through his teeth. "We need to go after him. He's too dangerous. Who knows what nightmares he has in store for us."

Keran's ears furled back as he shook his head. "I'd say we stop all attempts to capture this strange enemy and leave this place. It is clear this place is fraught with danger. And with the padawans... and Quint... being clear targets it is not smart to linger in the home of our enemy..."

Mar frowned and nodded, as much as he wanted to see Jin'Lor suffer for all the pain he'd caused with his actions. The safety of the crew, and his students, took priority. "Okay... then we run... question is where?"

Mira suddenly ran into the room. She surveyed the scene and saw the aftermath of the fight and went to Keran. "Hey, you okay?"

"I am fine, Mira." Keran nodded admitting to himself that his pride was bruised from the defeat. "Right now... we need to decide whether or not to leave this dreadful place and the monster who calls it home."

Mira frowned and saw Ripper on the floor again. "Oh no, Ripper. What happened?"

"Ryze..." Mar said almost under his breath. "His name is Ryze..."

Mar was still thinking about what Jin'Lor had said before. That he knew who he was. It wasn't quite a big secret that he was The First Brother, The Grand Inquisitor, and Traitor To The Empire. The bounty on his head by the Imperial Remnant was proof enough of that.

Still... If he knew more than he let on... like about his hand in Serenity's master's death... this could mean bad things. In either case, Mar wanted to know this monster was gone once and for all, he owed that much to Ghost... and to Ryze...
