What's In The Bag?

Liden looked at the vented compartment and nodded at Jin's question. "Yes... Though I failed to convince her..." She sighed and looked to her troopers standing by the door. "Collect her..." Then she turned to leave, but stopped before doing so. "I like your hair that way, Jin'Lor... very handsome..." She smirked then and left.

The moment Serenity woke she would find Liden standing behind a force field. Having put Serenity in a proper cell this time. Carla was nowhere to be found, having been placed in a containment cell that had been designed specifically to hold highly dangerous creatures such as rancors and the acid-spewing gro'tye. Though spacious, it was more than enough to hold the terror that was Carla.

Liden sipped a cup of water, a simple thing she had long been unable to appreciate until now. One of the many gifts that Jin'Lor and his knowledge had granted her. Now she had her army as well...

"You disappoint me, Serenity" She said, her voice still calm even after everything. "You still don't understand... Perhaps you never will... It doesn't matter. I had hoped to ask for your help in the war to come... but it's clear to me that you are not ready. You... You're afraid... For all your talk of emotions being the path to the dark side you seem to cling to the one thing that Jedi all agree is the first step down the dark path: fear... It will lead to anger... anger to hate... hate... to suffering..." She fell silent for a moment, drinking the water again. "I am done trying to be gentle with you, child. You will watch from this cell what is out there and you will be afraid... More afraid than you have ever been..."

Keran nodded and gestured for Ghost to sit with him. "Breathe and let the force flow through you..."

Mira decided she would sit with them. Though she didn't feel the force the whole thing felt relaxing nonetheless.

They meditated for what seemed like hours when they heard the sound of the temperature sealed doors opening. Mira went for her blaster, only to settle it back in her holster when she saw it was Mar and KC-8. The little droid announced their arrival with happy bloops before going to VT and doing a little dance with him.

"Miss me?" Mar asked as he looked to the group with a look that showed how happy he was to see them.

Mira answered his question by taking his face and kissing him. The look produced a surprised, yet pleased look from Mar. Then he blinked. "Well... I take it by the fact you all look bored that you all have your ends of the job done already?"

Mira nodded. "We do, yes. I managed to use some old contacts and some that Thrass knew to figure out where Liden's fleet will be. Apparently the New Republic is worried about them too. Word is there's a fleet assembling in the Angiers system that's gonna try and make a move for Liden."

Mar frowned. "Then we need to get to the fleet before they do. They don't know about Serenity... they'll probably consider her as an acceptable casualty..."

"No way we're gonna take that." Mira said. "Let's go get that poor girl and bring her home!"

"Damn right. And not just her. Ryze is there to... so is Carla..." Mar said.

Keran went to Mar and looked him in the eye. "Then I trust you were successful?"

Mar simply nodded. "Let's not waste time. We have friends to save."

Keran continued to look at Mar. "You certain you're prepared?"

Mar shrugged. "We'll have to find out when we get there, now won't we?"

"Mar, only a Jedi can manage a rescue like this..."

Mar hefted the bag he had been carrying since he walked in, looking at it knowingly. "I know... And only a Jedi can convince our lost padawan to come back..." He opened the bag, and what was inside made Keran smirk.
