Hitch A Ride

Ebony stares in confusion before looking back toward where the ship must have landed. "That's sad." She says in a soft voice. "You seem like a nice person and I don't see issue with you."

Ort makes a happy little chirping noise at this and nuzzles into Serenity's petting.

"So, I guess you don't want to hitch a ride on that ship?" She continues, watching her animal companion. "Maybe they aren't after you, you know? Maybe they will let us both hitch a ride? For all we know, whoever owns that ship may be a good person, too."

Always the optimist, Ebony gives Serenity a kind smile.

"Oh, if he's not a good guy, maybe we can sneak onto his ship and just hitch a ride that way."
