Jacob looks around the room, then back to Landon and Damien. His hand tightens on the hilt of the curved dagger then releases.

Jacob's mind goes from jumbles of 'what ifs' to a remarkably still tranquility. His eyes, peering deep into the eyes of Landon and Damien, haunting them to speak.
