Personality and InterestsMaximus Brankovitch was committed & perspective, but could also be very egotistical & a bit short-tempered. He could get a little cocky & vain, as he preferred to be called "Captain" instead of "Professor" (probably because he was Captain for the American National Quidditch team. Despite this, Maximus was a caring & visionary person, always seeing the best in his students & encouraging them to do their best. His dreams of revolutionizing Quidditch concerning safety were probably reflected off of Maximus's guilt for the death of his teammate as a student.
HistoryMaximus Brankovitch III was an American half-blood wizard who came from a long line of professional broomstick-riders & Quidditch players. He started school at Ilvermorny School of Witchcraft & Wizardry in 1980. During his school days, Maximus was involved in Ilvermorny's Inter-House Quidditch games, where he played for his house, Horned Serpent.
After graduating from Ilvermorny, Maximus went on to play as a Seeker for the Fitchburg Finches. He also played for the American National Quidditch team & captained the side at the 1986 & 1990 Quidditch World Cups.
As of 1998, Brankovitch (now retired from competing) became a Professor of Flying & Quidditch referee at Ilvermorny School of Witchcraft & Wizardry, with hopes of revolutionizing Quidditch.
