Welcome to Cyrodiil
This game is meant to be a coop version of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion starting off before and leading up to the assassination of Emperor Uriel Septim VII.

Adventurers: Please build a level 3 characters using DND Beyond. I have listed the Elder Scrolls races and their closest equivalent from D&D. I’m currently working on homebrew racial traits so you would either have to add the homebrew race to your collection or I can edit the character for you.

Citizens of Cyrodiil (NCCs): If you just want to role play in a lore rich setting, feel free to join as a non-combat character. Keep in mind, if you ever get yourself into danger, you would most likely run, hide, or die. If you do decide to fight or charm your way out, make it a real challenge for your character's survival. No god mode or killing off important plot characters.

Altmer - High Elf
Argonian - Lizard Folk
Breton - Half-Elf
Bosmer - Wood Elf
Dunmer - Drow
Imperial - Human
Khajiit - Tabaxi/Leonin
Nord - Dwarf/Human
Orsimer - Half-Orc
Redguard - Human

Here are some other thoughts for race equivalents:

Child of the Nines - Aasimar
Daedra-born - Tiefling, caution! most NPCs would find you unfavorable and would shun you from a young age, Dunmer would likely be the most willing to accept you

Gnomes and Halflings
The Elder Scrolls doesn’t really have an equivalent for Gnomes or Halflings but feel free to create a human or elf with their racial traits.

Dragonborn
You can use the racial traits but as far as your character is concerned, you are one of the other races that has an elemental attack. Dragonborn in The Elder Scrolls are different and have the blood of Akatosh.

Classes

Barbarians are likely tribesmen from anywhere outside the Imperial province of Cyrodiil unless you can come up with something that makes sense.

Blood Hunters can be freelance hunters or members of the Order of the Virtuous Blood or an upstart to the Vigilants of Stendarr.

All Clerics, Paladins, and Warlocks get their abilities from either Aedra (The Nine Divines) or Daedra.

Druids are probably going to be tribesmen or hermits that channel magic from Mundas or its moons, but if you can make some other idea work, feel free.

Fighter’s could be Gladiators of the Imperial City Arena, Imperial Soldiers, or Fighter’s Guild mercs.

Monks could be with the Blades, Order of the Ancestor Moth, or anything you want.

Rangers could be part of the Imperial Legion or not part of any organization.

Rogues are likely part of the Thieve’s Guild, Morag Tong, or the Dark Brotherhood.

Artificers, Sorcerers, and Wizards are either with the Mages Guild, College of Winterhold, or the Psijic Order.

Necromancy is outlawed and typically fallen scholars or followers of the Order of the Black Worm.
