David is self-centered and lazy. He doesn't like dirt or animals and so has always hated life on the ranch As a child he was always afraid of the large animals on the ranch, as a adult he finds them dirty and bothersome. History

David was the first born and probably the main reason his mother married his father. She wasn't ready to settle down.
