Whirlybird

Cyrus went outside to inspect the aircraft. While he was obviously much fonder of the Airbus H135 and 145 platform, he couldn't deny the beauty of a Bell 407. It was just a magnificent machine, and a classic favorite. The helicopter was a deep, indigo blue color which almost looked black. It had a slate stripe going across the cabin. The windows on the doors were enormous, giving enough view to any passengers inside. Based on the equipment, Cyrus could tell this was an executive helicopter, not a utility one. He knew King Ranch was massive, so his most likely work duty would be transporting people around the ranch, especially people who might be injured.

As Cyrus marveled, he decided to check out the interior. As he suspected, it was a glass cockpit. All the latest and most updated avionic technology. Garmin 430s, HTAWS, FADEC... all the bells and whistles. Ha! Bell! No Pun intended. The seats were leather, which was remarkably comfortable. The cyclic, pedals and collective all moved with minimal effort when the friction was removed. After scouring the cockpit for some time, Cyrus located the pre-flight checklist and decided he would go ahead and complete what he could without starting the engines. That way, when the boss lady arrived they could be airborne in a just a few minutes.
