2012 Simulation Cup

The Simulation Cup

It gives me great pleasure to announce that the Simulation Cup is hereby officially open for entrants!  What is the Simulation Cup you might ask?  It’s a one-time competition where sims and role play games have the opportunity to showcase their excellence and compete against each other in a friendly manner to win various prizes.  And here’s how it works…

How to Enter

The sim’s host (or the host’s representative) will submit the following short entry form along with a sample of their role play activity.  Our judges will then rate that sample in several different areas. Once all sims have been evaluated, we’ll announce winners in various categories across the different genres. Sims that do not place will not be named. So if you’d like to enter your sim, please email Charles Star at star.idf@gmail.com with the following information:

  • Sim/Game Name
  • Host/Captain/GM Name
  • Type of Sim (Email/Board/Chat/etc)
  • Genre (Star Trek/Star Wars/original concept/etc)
  • Club Affiliation (if any)
  • Year Sim Founded (if known)

For email sims, submit a link to your best mission/episode (all posts from the episode) completed during 2012.  For message board sims, submit a link to your best thread completed during the year.  For chat sims, submit a link to your best chat session during the year.  If a link is not available, feel free to include the sample as an email attachment.  If your sim doesn’t fit neatly into one of those categories, let me know and we’ll see where we can best place you.  Feel free to email for any other questions or concerns.

All submissions are due December 22nd, so get crackin’!  The results will be announced on or before December 31st, 2012.  Good luck!

The 2012 Simulation Cup is sponsored by the USS Chuck Norris.  All decisions are final and are not subject to appeal.  The competition’s results will also serve as the official results for the 2012 Tournament of Simulations.  Please contact Charles Star at star.idf@gmail.com for any questions or concerns.
