Gotham City: The Death of Batman - a play-by-post rpg

One morning while walking from a little bistro back to Wayne Enterprises is gunned down in a drive-by gang shooting committed by members of the Maroni crime family. He died in the hospital several hours later. Joker had figured out Batman's secret identity years ago but had no desire to change their relationship. He recorded a video detailing everything he knew about the true identity of Batman with proof. After releasing the video publically to everyone he committed suicide, but his body was never found.

Starting ten days after Bruce's death, members of the Maroni crime family began dying in droves. After twenty days the entire Maroni crime family was found dead. The body of Nadia Maroni was discovered last and had been dead for more than twenty days but she was seen just days earlier shopping and out to dinner with her husband.

The surviving members of the Batman family try to continue the fight at night while during the day fight off lawsuits from Batman's 'victim' looking for a payday and the Board of Directors at Wayne Enterprises looking to install someone that Bruce would most definitely not approve of.
