Checking In

Agent Powers was quietly eating his burger and fries while drinking his pineapple Fanta. He listened to Alyssa and Peter make a plan as he chewed his meal. Seeing as he was no longer useful for their data crunching and networking he took a few burgers with him to his room where he turned back in to the 18 year old Max. He then proceeded to charge his phone as he slowly snacked on ten more burgers, several fries and several pineapple sodas. Since he had a high metabolism he was not to worried about his weight. He continued to play his phone games in a relaxing arm chair with his feet up. He was enjoying his time alone for a change. It was nice to not have to worry about being eaten by bugs, killed, hunted, eaten by people, drowned, stuck in bad weather or all the harsh things he had to endure on his family "vacations" with his father.

Sadly as he was feeling good, he got a call from his adopted father. His smile quickly turned into a frown as he sighed and answered the phone. He replied to his father.

Max: Hello father.

Max's Dad: I hear you have been assigned to a team already.

Max: Yes sir. We are in the middle of the investigation right now.

Max's Dad: Good. Make sure you protect your team and help them as best as you can.

Max: Of course father.

Silence on the phone for a few minutes....................

Max: Father?

Max's Dad: Oh sorry I am also working. I don't need to remind you of what will happen if you fail correct?

Max: Of course not father. I won't bring shame upon you.

Max's Dad: Good. I'll keep in tough.

Max's father hung up the phone and Max sighed as he wished he had a better relationship with his adopted father. After a long sigh he went back to playing his phone game. He wanted to rest up for when Alyssa needed him again since he was limited in being in his Agent Powers form. Since he was lacking in friends, social skills and experience working with others he was pretty much a lone wolf type and his only outlet was phone games.
