Tib’s Corner – Interview with Chris Janiver “11121519518”

43576979¡Hola! Cómo Estas and what not Ongoing Worlds! Tibbeh here with another interview [SUPER DUPER EXCITINGNESS!]. This post is with Chris Janiver, or as y’all may know him as, 11121519518, Eleven, or simply Chris [if you know him that well]. He’s an active member [as well as a funny one] around OW. So I thought I’d sit him down and interview him! Let’s delve into the strange and undiscovered mind of our Eleven!

1. I don’t know how much you’re asked this, but for the people who don’t know, what the heck is up with your name?

You mean 11121519518, not my real name, I assume. Well, that’s a secret. I do like numbers, though. The official story is that I used to be a robot. Now I wish I could tell you because most people who answer your questions have a sweet little paragraph to show off.

2. How long have you been in OW? Roleplaying?

According to my profile, I joined Ongoing Worlds on the 17th of May, 2013. That’s not even a year. I’ve been roleplaying for much longer, though. I started out roleplaying on an animating site’s forums. I did that for two years. Then they closed the forums because it was a kid’s site, and people were “abusing the privilege” by swearing. A lot of my roleplaying friends left then for better horizons, but I stuck around. We started roleplaying in the comments on the animations we made instead. I still do that in my free time. I was then introduced to Ongoing Worlds by my real-life buddy, Ralazie.

3. What are your interests?

There’s an easy question. I do theater, music, and I roleplay. I also like to pretend that I’m British. That probably stems from the fact that I watch a ton of BBC shows and various other British things. Since I know that saying that “I do music” isn’t really enough for most people, I’ll tell you. The things I do are sing, play the piano, and make horrible sounds from a guitar that I really can’t play. I also write crummy lyrics. I enjoy it all, save failing at the guitar.

4. What’s your big writing inspiration?

I listen to music a lot. Mostly Panic! at the Disco, Simple Plan, Blessthefall, Sick Puppies, Team Starkid, and Secondhand Serenade. This all gives me brilliant inspiration for characters, games, and free-writing. For instance, I have one character that I very blatantly based off of Howard’s Tale (guess what his name is? If you guessed Howard, you’re right). This ties into the next question neatly.

5. Where do you get most of your game ideas?

I get most of my game ideas from the aforementioned music, but sometimes ideas just stab me in the head. Another way is that I like to come up with ways to kill off characters (I usually call it channelling my Joss Whedon and Steven Moffat), and sometimes those elaborate murders can lead to full-fledged games. I don’t have a running example of this. I also “draw inspiration” from other things, like TV shows or books.

6. What is your favorite game you’re in so far?

That’s a difficult call for me to make… I’m in a metric ton of games, many of which are inactive as doors, which complicates the question. I can’t really pick a favourite game. I enjoy most of them a lot, and equally.

7. Any plans for the future you’re willing to share?

Plans for the- whoa. Well, I plan to kill off at least one character at some point. I also plan to maybe mix up my profile pictures again. For Courage Crusaders, my next Fear is all planned out. I don’t really do much planning, as things can get thrown off or derailed very easily.

8. Do you think Dave is secretly a robot onion? Are you a robot? Would you tell us if you were?

No, I don’t think Dave is a robot onion. He might be a robot, though, just judging by the odd hours I can contact him at (and that’s after converting to GMT). I used to be a robot. Then I got all fleshy and turned into an elf. And I would most certainly tell you if I were a robot.

Well there you have it folks, The Panic! At The Disco Loving, Thespianistic [Is that a word? If not it is now] Robot. Our beloved Eleven! That’s all I have time fore [Why do I say that? It’s not like I’m on TV… DAVE, THIS IS ME PITCHING IDEAS… TV. GET WITH THE BBC. TIBBEH NEEDS FACETIME! And the others too of course… I guess]

Imma shove off now, if you’d like to apply for an interview, fill out that lovely application and I will get to it as soon as I can. In the meantime! As usual, Keep Calm And Keep Ongoing! TIB OUT! [Okay Dave, If I was on TV that would be my “Stay Classy, San Diego”]
