Congratulations to all of our 2017 Squiddie Nominees!!!

Congratulations to all of our 2017 Squiddie Nominees!  After our May post, we received 7 nominations for 6 people, 6 nominations for 6 games, and 6 nominations for 5 clubs.  In case you lost count, that’s 19 total nominations for 17 different entities.  While it’s down from our usual ~30 nominees, we still have many absolutely outstanding candidates.  I can assure you that the competition certainly is fierce this year!  The level of commitment, creativity, and drive from our community never ceases to amaze me.  Let’s keep up the great role playing!

Without further ado, here are your 2017 nominees in no particular order…

People (6):

Games (6):

Clubs (5):

*Ineligible due to service on the Ongoing Worlds Board of Advisors

**Ineligible due to past award

If your nomination does NOT appear on the above list and/or you never received a confirmation e-mail, please let me know *immediately* via e-mail at star[dot]idf[at]gmail[dot]com.  The Ongoing Worlds Board of Advisors plans to announce the winners sometime within the next few weeks.  Good luck to everyone!

Misty Diamond?? I am flummoxed how someone who is too lazy to even participate in the games she joins, nor is actually proactive in guiding the site she is inexplicably voted in charge of – albeit a vote consisting of half a dozen players and all others pleading nolo contendere – but constantly has a handy excuse about how busy her ‘real life’ is & how at a loss she is as to why the Phoenix site has been DOA for years (spoiler alert: it ain’t that hard to deduce – they seem to be the only ones blind to it), could be nominated for any award. It cheapens it, in my opinion, and I sure hope a more worthy nominee nabs it; it would be a Trumpian travesty to miss out on laurels when this is what was deemed worthy.. and not just another default nomination. An internet of rpg’s and this.. it begs for an explanation of the criteria.

I hope we can see who wins soon!
