Searching For Help

Kye may have escaped but he lost his blaster pistols in the process, which frustrated the sixteen year old greatly. He had not wanted to leave Aurora behind, but when she made an order it was smart to listen. He had learned the hard way years ago that one did not anger her and get away unscathed.

Patting his bag as he rode along to find help atop Phenix, Kye knew he would have to put together his favorite gun. Without the blasters, he had no choice, really. Sure, he had a knife or two for close combat, but he was nowhere near as skilled as Aurora in combat.

"Who do I go to for help, though?" The red head bit out the words and clung to Phenix as if the beautiful creature would answer. The only reply he did get was a frustrated chirp as they stopped close to a back alley building. Looking back to make sure no one had followed, the older teen slipped off Phenix and started toward the building.

Phenix bit onto the back of his shirt, though, stopping him. "What?!" Kye snapped as he tried to pry himself free by tugging at his shirt. "I have to get help! There has to be someone here that's strong enough, right?" It embarrassed him to admit how weak he was, even if it was to his sister's varactyl.

Giving up on his escape, the teen stood there and glared back at the creature. "Well, what do you suggest I do? I know Aurora is strong, but they'll torture her! I can't let that happen!" He explained as Phenix released his shirt in order to nudge the bag hanging at his side. "Oh, my sniper rifle...but it can't help from here."

Phenix nudged the bag insistently, demanding the red head get to work.

"Fine, fine," Kye gave in and found a place for them both to hide while he put the gun together. He would keep it loaded and try to stay focused on the task at hand. This was for his sister and he was not about to let some schmuck soldiers torture her.

With the gun together and strapped on in a fashion for easy access, Kye and Phenix left to find help. Anyone he spoke to either ignored him, laughed about the situation, or just sent him on his way with cold words. Some even freaked out over the varactyl with him, not even noticing the timid red head trying to speak with them

At this point, anyone that helped would earn Kye's respect.

All he could do was keep searching and asking for help.
