JP - At the Ruins - Cleaning

Waiting for them to get out of sight, Miyuki slipped off to explore the place, wanting to know more by being the sneaky little fox she was.

A lock of blond hair held together by dried blood was caught on some debris by the door of the other standing building, the seamstress shop Lek had been in earlier.

Miyuki gazed at that lock of hair for a moment, sniffing at it out of curiosity before stepping inside the seamstress shop.

The seamstress shop had been cleared out of anything of value besides the mirror Lek had mentioned. It was a large full length mirror. There was also a table but it was so bloodstained nobody would want it anymore. The floor was littered with more golden locks as if someone had been scalped, and torn clothing. The Black Raven was not the only place in the village that had something bad happen.

"This place is definitely emitting some bad mojo" Rook whispered behind the Kitsune as he moved towards the mirror.

Eyes widening, Miyuki screamed and turned around, swinging her bag frantically at Rook.

Rook ducked out of out of the way on instinct "sorry didn't mean to startle you"He said giving her some space as he moved towards the mirror was just curious about these places myself."

Stepping back and away from Rook, the Kitsune grimaced. She didn’t hate him, but she was not about to trust a dwarf. Stepping around and away from him, she stepped further into the place to look around, frowning at the blood, the locks of hair and cloth. “What exactly happened here?” She whispered, glancing around.

"Some sort of attack" Rook answered as he continued to stare at the mirror something about it just didn't seem right "haven't got most of the details myself yet folks here seem pretty hush about it although the guards might be willing to answer."

Having heard the scream, Wulfsen and a few of his men ran from the ruins of the inn to the seamstress shop. Wulfsen entered the shop first. He looked at the kitsune and dwarf. "Is everything alright?" He asked, already familiar with the blood stained table and mess of the place.

“Yes, it’s fine!” Miyuki blurted as she swiveled around to face them. “Sorry, I just got spooked. I didn’t realize the dw-er-Rook was following me…” She was so thankful for her fur at the moment because she was blushing with embarrassment beneath it. If she could force the floor to swallow her up at that moment, she would.

This was so embarrassing for her!

“Oh.” Wulfsen relaxed and his men went back to clearing debris from the inn. Wulfsen looked around the shop, wishing it had been cleaned up already but realized it was probably too much to expect from Lek to clean out the place. “I should get some of my men to clean up in here.”

"I can clean it!" The kitsune blurted before she could stop herself. "I know remedies for dealing with things like this. I'll clean it." Snapping her mouth shut she went silent.

Wulfsen blinked. “If you really want to. Millie wanted to just have the place torn down after what happened, but since it was the only building left intact it was decided to let it stay for shelter until more can be built. It has been picked over thoroughly, Lek said the only thing left worth saving is the mirror and even that will get sold in Portside.” Wulfsen noticed the old bloody handprints on the sides of the mirror and gave it a disgusted look.

"I can help you if you'd like," Rook offered, stepping away from the mirror.

Wulfsen nodded. “It would be appreciated.”

“No, I can clean it and fix things up on my own,” Miyuki persisted. It would give her something to do and distract from all that was going on.

"Fair enough" Rook replied, dusting his hands off "swing by my forge if you get hungry." Exiting the store he returned to his forge to prep some deer he had traded for.

Calming a little once the dwarf was gone, Miyuki looked at Wulfsen and waited to see what he would do.

“If you change your mind about doing this on your own no one would fault you, it’s pretty bad.” Wulfsen said. “I’ll get that mirror out of your way.” He offered and moved towards it.

Miyuki stepped out of the way and let Wulfsen take the mirror, keeping silent as she did so. Once he was gone, though, she dropped her bag and got to work. This would take a long while…

Wulfsen used a damp rag to clean Pinja’s blood off the mirror. Then he had it carefully wrapped and put on a cart that would eventually go to Portside. He looked at the seamstress shop, wondering if Miyuki realized what she was cleaning- then realized she probably did not. She was not from around here and was probably completely clueless. Wulfsen frowned, wondering if he should tell her what had happened, but instead went to help his men clearing debris from the inn.

Miyuki would work for a long while, the hours ticking by where no one saw her leave. By nightfall, she would have worn herself out and fell asleep on her bag in a corner of the shop. The girl was stubborn, that was for sure.

Meanwhile Bai had seen what he could from the outside of the Black Raven and was sitting on a stone outside the tavern, trying to work up the courage to go inside. The place sounded empty, from what he could tell it was completely silent. Not that made it any safer, or meant that there was not anything inside.
