JP - No Big Deal

“I might still break.” Indeed, Min already felt broken.

"Then it's a good thing we're gonna be here to help you if that happens," Cook told her with a kind smile. "We won't let you get hurt again."

“Thank you.” Min whispered.

“No need to thank me,” Cook kissed the top of her head and went to the door. “Come back in, Elizabeth.”

The other woman happily hopped her way back into the room.

“Does Elizabeth know too?” Min asked.

Elizabeth looked at them. “Know what?” She asked.

Cook shook his head.

“Oh…” Min shifted uncomfortably. “What I was doing before that monster got me…”

“What were you doing?” Elizabeth asked, obviously curious.

"Uh…" Min shifted uncomfortably. "Men would give me money…"

“Money? Were they donating to you? To help you?!” Elizabeth smiled.

“Elizabeth…let her finish. Give her time, okay?” Cook said and stepped over, gently squeezing Min’s shoulder. “If you don’t want to say it, I can for you.”

“No…” Min’s eyes widened. She looked to Cook for help, there was no way she could say it. She nodded to him.

Cook smiled kindly at Min and explained things to Elizabeth.

It took the woman a while to comprehend all of this. “Well, who cares?” She snorted. “You’re not going back to that, Min! You’re gonna have a good life now!”

Min blushed. “Thanks.”

“Anytime!” Elizabeth chimed, just so happy to know Min was okay.

Min relaxed. Little did she know she was still in the news, and thanks to the anti-meta agenda her history as a prostitute was buried.
