Huntress makes a very public debut

After Orime's capture and torture were broadcast to everyone. Huntress knew that she couldn't focus solely on the Mob anymore. She had to broaden her horizons. She also knew she wasn't trained to fight soldiers. She trained exclusively to fight the mob. Soldiers were better prepared and equipped. Considering the various supervillains in Gotham, she presumed that they would have prepared to fight supers.

While studying as much publicly available footage as she could of them, she got an alert of a new report. Several supervillain patients at Arkham Asylum escaped. Numerous were murdered by a new Batman, the police were calling Saint Batman. "Saint my ass." A few hours later, there was another new report, this time, Killer Croc was gunned down by a dozen soldiers. Once he was down, several soldiers pried open his mouth and forced a grenade into his throat. "The bullets were designed to incapacitate. But how?"

She decided that even with her powers, a straight-up assault was deadly. She would need to isolate or divide them into smaller groups.

That night she went out passed the militia demanded curfew of 8 pm. She found a small squad of eight. She was able to quickly fire off two crossbow bolts into the heads of two of them before they started returning fire. She took cover and reloaded her crossbows. Using her speed was able to sneak around behind them and shoot two more in the back through their armor, piercing their hearts. Before she could duck behind cover, a bullet caught her thigh. "Shit that hurts." She muttered under her breath.

The remaining four turned to where she was. She climbed up to a higher level and hid. She dug the bullet out before the wound healed up. She examined it. "They are using fucking hollow points?" She reloaded her crossbows and then pulled out her bow. She pulled the string of the bow as far back as she could, she let them line up, and shot two of them at once with one arrow. She then ducked behind cover and got her crossbows in hand. When they stopped to reload, she shot up and shot the last two.

She sat down and waited for her leg to heal. Once her leg was well enough, she jumped down and grabbed her arrows and bolts, two pistols, a rifle, and all the ammo she could find. The last soldier she looted, she saw it had a camera on its head. She leaned in close. "The angels have spoken. They tell me a beast is loose upon the Earth. They me the beast must be felled. I told the angels let me be your Huntress."

The morning after Saint Batman put a bounty on the head of the Huntress. "A million dollars to the person who can bring The Huntress in alive. Half a million to anyone who brings her in dead. Curfew is suspended until she is captured or killed. She is known to have super strength and speed. Possibly other powers. She is armed and dangerous."
