Physical Appearance

Wes is 5 foot 9 inches tall and weighs around 175 pounds. His skin is a light complexion even for a white man which means he sunburns easily if he doesn't wear sunscreen. He has light brown hair which is turning gray at his temples and a full beard and moustache which seems a little more reddish in color than the hair on his head. His hazel eyes sit behind prescription lenses set in silver metal frames.

Wes normally wears buttoned shirts while working at the school with dark colored trousers, while in his free time he will wear jeans and polo shirts or the occasional tee-shirt with a printed logo on it. His shoes while working are a pair of leather loafers while he prefers basic non-brand name sneakers for comfort at home.

Personality and interests

Wes can come across as stern to his students and other teachers in the classroom while he is teaching. He likes order and hates disruptions. However, anyone who takes time to get to know Wes on a more personal level will find that he truly is caring and gentle.

Hiking the trails in Parkwood's large public park and biking the town's less trafficked streets are Wes's favorite past times when weather allows. During those times when he can't be outside in his free time, Wes prefers to settle down with a good book or to watch a video on a streaming service.

Because he dislikes disorder, Wes tends to spend more time organizing and cleaning his home than most other single men.

Backstory/History

Dandelion is not where Wes grew up. He moved here when he graduated college both for his teaching position and to marry his late wife Cheryl. They spent five years together before ovarian cancer took her from him.

In that time she had talked a lot to Wesley about fostering kids or perhaps even adopting since their chances of having biological children seemed slim. At the time Wes had not considered it seriously because he was focused on Cheryl and her needs as she battled the cancer.

A year after she passed away, Wes looked into foster care more seriously and became licensed by the county. Since then he has fostered several children of various ages in his three bedroom home located in the Parkwood neighborhood. Some were from the town of Dandelion while others were from other towns located in the county. All of the kids were reunited with their biological families or moved to other homes to better accomodate visitations.

As a licensed foster parent, Wes is open for future placements of foster children. (Also agency workers, biological parents, former placements, support group members, etc.)

Being a widower, Wes is open for in-laws, friends of his wife Cheryl, etc. Future romance is also not out of the question.

Finally, Wes lives in the Parkwood neighborhood, anyone creating a character who lives here can be a potential neighbor.
