Our friends at the Simming League recently announced the latest Simming Prize winners–the best of the best from the nominations submitted by the entire community over the last year. It’s an amazing list of five winners who live out the best qualities within thesimming and online role playing world day in and day out. Well done, Simming Prize Laureates!
Also, happy Valentine’s Day!

Gregory of Pegasus Fleet: An outstanding community member in all facets, Gregory is that ever-present figure who knows exactly when to lead and when to lift others up, often at the same time in subtle, but effective ways. A regular host and contributor at all four main conventions today, he leads interactive and provocative discussions, pushing our knowledge and understanding of the craft. He also regularly supports initiatives within his home club and other recurring events, like the Tournament of Simulations.
USS Hiroshima of Obsidian Fleet: A long-time sim with a 20+ year history, the Hiroshima recently reinvented itself with a flurry of exceptional collaboration and posting around a decade-long story arc. It perfectly balanced and blended outstanding classic and legacy player contributions with cutting edge additions from new players, creating a fresh and distinct, but still recognizable culture.
Federation Space: A forum-based club that recently celebrated its 25th anniversary, Federation Space does all the little things that allow a group to not just survive, but thrive long-term. With a useful wiki, helpful hosts, and inspiring leaders, players are able to weave storylines together into different ships, which then blend seamlessly into a cohesive storyline right at home within Trek canon.
USS Firebird of Independence Fleet: With an amazing cast of characters and top-notch host to match, the Firebird has blazed a trail of simming excellence for multiple years in a row, including winning the top overall prize at the most recent Tournament of Simulations, in addition to receiving extensive awards from their home fleet. The players complement each other perfectly, building on their existing culture and lore with new and inventive ideas in seemingly every joint post, which are a joy to read.
Shadow Fleet: A forum-based group founded in 2007, Shadow Fleet continues to sim to the max while also contributing to the greater community, like co-hosting the most recent Khitomer. They have harmonized game autonomy with fleet consistency perhaps better than anyone. With an exquisite academy and effective organization, players are able to tell stories together organically.
