Sentinel Island - Horse Bay

Gonyaul looked around despite the woman standing in front of him like a silver wraith. He noticed immediately that he was kneeling in the middle of a circle of strange looking carved rocks, twice his size.

There were strange faces and symbols craved in its smooth sides, but not as he had seen in other murals and monuments but primitive and rustic.

He felt and heard the sea behind him, not too far away. He could taste the salt in the air. A low hanging mist seemed to cover the earth. He quickly realised he was somewhere in the middle of a small village. Stone houses dotted the shoreline where he dared look, still keeping an eye on the tip of her sword.

The houses he could spy were small, all dwellings that would accommodate one or two small families at most. They were simply constructed with no frills or flares, with thatched roofs, as if erected only to keep the elements at bay.

He became aware of the presence of others nearby. But before he could look around the woman spoke again.

"I wast expecting m're of a square, Vauxian. Thee didn't seemeth to knoweth thee arse from thy elbow backeth th're on the beach..." She grinned.
