Moving Nearer

Ch’Truta awoke early in the morning. He attempted to meditate. However, his lost connection with the swamp spirits was a distraction. Offering a prayer to Uctilo’rhu to bring him safety and security, it seemed void being far from the swamp. Could Uctilo’rhu offer protection in the desert regions? Should he attempt to connect with the gods of the dry region?

Disgusted, Ch’Truta began to gather his belongs and temporarily set them outside his tent, preparing to break it down and move. The air was still cool from the night, but would soon raise to dry heat.

He broke his tent down, moving the stakes and poles and sitting them next to Islana’s dwelling. He was happy to be moving next to her. Perhaps, she would be his goddess. He certainly considered himself loyal to her.

Walking back, Ch’Truta gathered the canvas material of his tent. It took him a while to erect the tent on his own, but eventually it was done.

Next, Ch’Truta gathered his belongings and moved them. Soon, all was in its place. Now, he felt direction. He was near to the one he loved. And, after he beared his heart, she did not dissuade him. Ch’Truta truly believed Islana may feel the same way. His day was turning around from its fruitless beginnings.
