Bone Crushing Time

“ DB, Arc, why don't you take point. The rest form up with me." Demonsbane led them to the forest. It didn't take long for a female werewolf to catch up with them in her human form. She could be seen visibly sniffing the air. It mumbled something under its breath. The expression on her face was not one of joy. "What brings you to our territory?" Her voice was full of annoyance and anger. Fera stepped forward. "Longsaddle told us they would help with the Mind flayer infestation of Baldur's Gate and that if we help you with your problem, then you might help fight the Mind flayers." The werewolf looked Fera up and down. She scoffed. "Your funeral. It wasn't too long ago that one of you horned ones went in. She hasn't come back out. Also, be warned that if you die, you forfeit everything on your person." The werewolf howled, and a cub came over. "Show them the cave." The cub snorted and led the way.

Arc remained silent as he observed the werewolves and their manner. It was obvious that there was a lot of tension between them and the team. Arc was combat ready as he was holding his Holy Sword of Caladbolg and Holy Shield of Teutates that had high resistance to De-buffing and abnormal stats. Styx was on guard as she sat on Arc’s helmet. She was not too keen on trusting werewolves since they had a shady past. She was a bit skeptical as to why the werewolves were helping in the first place.

[iAs the cub led the group to the cave, they noticed everyone they passed by stared at them, ready to attack if they made the slightest of moves wrong. One made sure to stay close to Turkleton.

Once at the cave, the cub took off. "Guess this is the place." Deep inside, fires could be seen burning. Fera took the lead inside the cave. Once they came upon the bedroom area, she had each room checked. Then they got to the communal kitchen area where a dead mimic could be seen. "Keep an eye out for mimics." She then heard something unusual yet familiar. Coming deeper. "If my ears don't fool me, we have a Necro. Skeletons are coming." Then, from the darkness, the skeleton of a werewolf came running through and leapt at Fera. Shadowfang used her freeze breath on it, and Demonsbane followed up with a punch to the face. The skeleton fell to the ground and shattered. Shortly after, thirty skeletons came through. About half were focused on Arc and Fera.[/i]

Arc wasted no time using Destroy Undead as he bashed the skeletons with his shield and chopped them with his large sword. Since fighting the undead was Arc’s specialty, he was not struggling to take on the skeletons despite the large numbers. While using his shield bashed he knocked the skeletons into each other to give him a chance to attack with his sword and undead spells. Styx was perched on Arc’s head and used her dark vision to warn him of the skeletons trying to flank him. This made Arc’s job easier to launch his attacks.

Turkleton, during the fight, kept collecting bone fragments as they made their way to him. He also healed anyone who needed it.

Shi'za was trying out her new weapon. Every time she killed one with the hammer side, she yelled out. "Hammer Time!"

Shadowfang the Sword was flying through the air, slicing up werewolves. While Shadowfang the Dragonborn was using the Sword of Zariel. Inwardly she was pissed at hell at Shadowfang the Sword those wings should belong to her.

Demonsbane fought off skeletons using a mixture of attacks that included the use of her non-dominant arm to bash them.

The sound of cracking bones filled the air as the team fought hard to defeat the skeletons. The various types of skeletons made it difficult to fight since not everyone on the team was trained to fight undead. This made it hard for the healers to keep up with keeping the team alive.
