OOC - Awarding your players

How often do you all use OngoingWorlds's award system?
To celebrate Ouroboros reaching the 50 posts mark, I've given each of my players an award for the excellent writing contributions (you lucky devils).
How does everyone else use the award system? Do you use them to celebrate milestones or award them based on seeing an excellent piece of writing? Is there anything that you would want to change or improve with the awards system?
