OOC - Greetings and a Brief Poll

First off, I would like to welcome Enderslayer and chenglan to OW Community Platform. If there is anything you would like to discuss, don't hesitate to put up a post. I would ask that you try to remember to hit the "This is an OOC" checkbox above of the title textbox so that we can comment on your post, but if you forget to do so, no worries, I'll fix it once I see it.

Edit: LucianNepreen, thank you for joining as well!

Now for the "Poll" of sorts.

I have always been a proponent of making good use of the game information section, as I believe that the game description is more of an advertisement than a helpful source of information. Therefore, I had thought that it was worthwhile to leave the game description as concise as possible, then put the helpful details into the game information section with the expectation that interested players will read it over.

Now I'm not so sure.

I've noticed that many of the people that made characters for this "game" did not fill out some of the boxes as I expected. Perhaps this is because my instructions in the game information section were poorly worded or people decided that the character labels could be put to better use, but part of me suspects that many people didn't read the character creation guideline or just decided to skim over it.

So, the question is, when you guys are looking into a new game to join, and you find one that looks interesting, when do you look at the game information section?

A: Before making a character, period.
B: Before making a character if I'm struggling for ideas.
C: Before making a character, only if the game description tells me to look at the game information section.
D: After I've made a character and I want inspiration for a post.
E: I never/rarely ever look at the game information section.
F: It depends (please explain what it depends on if you choose this response).
G: Other (Please explain).
