Come with Me? Encore

JP with Omni and Lorem:

“You come too.” He agreed quickly. Though he still hadn’t made sense of his emotions. He felt guilty he could not yet give her a concrete answer to her second question.

“I in need of maverick right now.” There was a little glimpse of attitude returning.

Gonyaul moved over to Amu. Voah would notice there was no saddle or reigns anymore. He mounted.

From atop Amu he looked at the broken tent. He would need to leave it here. It would take too much valuable time to disassemble it and pack up.

“Come with me?” Was his question a chance at reparations from before?

“Yes, I’m ready to come with you. I’m ready.” she rubbed the sleepiness away again and mounted Litany. And prepared to follow him.

“Are you going to manage without a saddle?”

Gonyual’s imagination couldn’t help but wonder what would things be like if she had said that the first time. He dismissed going down that rabbit hole and it meant he was not being grateful. It was the hurt still trying to discharge his discomfort and pain into blaming someone, or something, he realized.

He wiped the gloom from his face, leaving behind a serious expression. It was the best he could manage right now. It meant a lot that she said that, even though Voah could just be about all business right now.

He looked to the direction he needed to go and recalled the tricks Tiponi and her younger siblings had taught him. Then he looked back to Voah and nodded.

“Some … one … show me how.” Plus, his tack and saddle were no longer with him so not much of a choice anyway.

Gonyaul began heading off, his horse riding looked significantly better than Voah would have seen before.
