The Mark of Kagim

JP with Omni and Lorem:

Gonyaul covered up his tattoos and regained his balance on the horse. He realized he wasn’t explaining the intricacies very well.

“When first crawl, ceremony with all fruits of kagim around. One crawl to is kagim mark. But try do all can each day for kagim to flow.” He gestures to the rest of his body where the words of the Vaux were written.

Fruits of kagim? Marked? He had previously mentioned kagim was like truth.

"I'm sorry, I'm not really sure I understand... you crawl to a fruit? With a marking? And becomes your kagim? Your truth? Like a purpose in life?"

She grimaced, feeling a little bad. It was frustrating not to be understood and to fail in understanding.

Gonyaul ran his hand though his hair and took a second to recollect his thoughts. The language barrier was making it harder to say what he would have liked. He was being patient with himself though, he was doing pretty well for his second language; with only the last five years being intentional to figure it out.

“Is fine, I not explain well.”

He used his hands to gesture. Pointing in lots of directions in a circle around him he tried again.

“Baby placed in center of circle. Many different markings on wood blocks around circle. On top blocks is item. Then crawl and whatever go to first is given as mark. When older, tattoo mark on chest. Train with mark in mind.

Vaux called to live as example of what kagim … the truth design of creation … nnn … but mark on heart is key to unlock … yes, like you say … purpose?

But no try and find purpose. I am generous and purpose finds me.”

Little did Gonyaul know that it was more than just a framing of one’s mindset. He just felt in his fiber that he was made for leaving things better than when he found them. Like this deep seeded desire to make things true and good. He couldn’t quite place it, but he was made to benefit creation; but strangely he always felt out of place in this world; something he unknowingly shared with every Vaux. Like a stranger trying their best to fit in and be a good steward, but no longer having the authority, or even an invitation, to do so.
