Good Morning

JP with Omni and Lorem

Dawn came and with it, the sounds of birds, chirping and flitting hither and thither around the camp searching for scraps left over from the night before. It was pleasing to listen to.

Voah lay nestled along side Gonyaul, and she turned herself over to look at him. He was still out. The new tent allowed the two to rest easier and more comfortably then they had the last few days.

She took the time to admire Gonyaul. The high cheek bones, the olive skin, and pale and elaborate tattoos that painted his body. It was a lovely calligraphy that flowed across nearly every contour that she had seen except the his hands and head, parts that usually remained uncovered. She couldn’t help but wonder about the rest of them. Very pleasing to the eye.

It was difficult to resist the temptation to trace her fingers along the shapes and his form because she didn’t want to wake him just yet, instead she wanted to just keep stealing this moment a little longer.

Gonyaul was in the presence of a most welcomed dream. He was directed there last night by Voah’s wholehearted and affectionate comment, ‘i’m so glad we found each other.’ He let those words soak into his heart like the scent of the incense saturated everything else inside the tent. Cuddling up with Voah, having his arms wantonly about her, made the entire world seem to stand still until he had fallen asleep.

As he began to stir, Gonyaul burrowed gently closer against Voah. He murmured something incomprehensible, interacting with the visions in his head. The dream ended, and unfortunately when he tried to recall it, the details eluded him already.

As his eyes adjusted to the ambient light in the tent, the heavenly sight of Voah filled his view.

He looked adorable with the effects of sleep lingering on his person. He smiled dreamily and whispered, while stretching very slowly. “Morning sweet Enustik.”

"Krūxhenii..." she whispered as her eyes followed the patterns that meandered along his neck and clavicle. Gonyaul stirred awake and bid her good morning.

She smiled and signed the Vauxian while speaking Mizaran, "Boūii vatiim, Yaii 'bū'jah... Sleep well?"

Gonyaul grinned bashfully. The way those words flowed like honey from her lips teased his senses. While Vauxian sounded like musical pitches, the Mizaran language sounded so romantic to him; he couldn’t wait to learn more.

“Boyi vitams” he mispronounced. “Best night sleep …Yaii Bui’jah … I was so warm from you embrace and words I slept wrap in nice dreams … you?” He tried saying ‘darling’ in addition to ‘good morning’ and almost got it right.

He was simultaneously so impressed with how fast she was picking up the Vauxian sign language. When she used it alongside Mizaran, or even Helian, it tremendously helped reinforce his learning curve. He was grateful for how thoughtful she was being.

"Yes, much better than it has been. I was just admiring the... script? ...that seems to play along your whole body." she walked a couple of fingers along his neck, ruining his stretching yawn. "You never went back into detail on what they mean..."

He reflexively defended his neck and wrinkled his nose as the stretch was cut short. Gonyaul proceeded to sit up, allowing the top of his half of the Arisha Ikeburer, the inner garment, to loosen and expose more of the script Voah was admiring.

He looked down at his chest, “They kagim made flesh. Many things. Vauxian history and teachings to be a light onto feet and guide path. Protect choices and mark my life purpose and meaning.”
