Liquid Gold

As Islana moved forward her body was protesting the abuse it was under more and more. The burn had progressed to some of the areas covered by less amounts of cloth, the blisters were painful, flakes of skin were peeling off in broken sheets. The sun and heat combined with the lack of water was starting to make her stomach queasy and her head ache.

It had been a while without water, the redhead knew finding some water would grow more and more important as the days passed. The thought of how nice it would be to just jump into a large body of the clear wet life giving substance crossed Islana's mind more than once.

The pull was moving her body where it needed to go so her mind didn't need to think much about it. Islana was using every bit of strength to drag her legs through the sand.

As if out of nowhere, a shimmer circle of light blue appeared, surrounded by lush green. Islana stopped dead in her tracks, blinked, rubbed her eyes, blinked again - was it real? Wondering if hallucinations had taken hold in her mind.

A lake, a magnificent and beautiful sight - Islana made her way towards the water as fast as she had the ability to at present time, which wasn't particularly fast.

First thing would be to drink until her body had taken all of it in that it could. Fill her water skin, bathe, maybe she could find something to eat that wasn't raw meat. The young woman's mind filled with these thoughts as she moved closer towards the lake.
