From the shadows

Gra'akast

Voah looks down, from the shadows of the first floor, unto the courtyard below. It is clear that whoever these people are, these is some sort of camp or base.

Below in the middle of the long dried fountain is a wooden stake, the size of a man, driven into the ground. The wood as dozens of notches on it and one of the men that Voah was following comes close to it, draws his long curved sword, and makes another notch on it.

His companions gathered around the courtyard give out a great cheer, thumping their feet into the ground, as the man grins. When the sound dies off, Voah sees him bowing deferential to an older man that is sitting crossed legged against a broken pillar in the corner of the derelict garden. A long thin staff with blades on both ends sits across his lap.

Suddenly as if possessing unnatural senses, the man's white eyes start to scan the balconies of the first floor. You see his nostrils flaring as if he is smelling the air.
