Talk Of Places; Thoughts of People

Silina then went on to ask about Helias, if it was similar to Arcadia.

Islana responded by explaining that there were parts of Helias she hadn't seen. Then she gave a brief tour of the different lands there.

Even if she hadn't been to many places in Helias; she had been told about them. Just the names conjured up images of people she knew.

Salos was where the tour began, explaining that's where she had taken the ship to get to Ostiarium. She talked briefly about the city and library.

Salos reminded of Boyce; she still couldn't understand why in her spirit walk, the scholar didn't appear to her. Had he gone back to Helias and that library?

The young witch knew almost nothing about the Forbidden Lands so after explaining that; the tour moved on.

Garrah was next, with its mountains, and clans. It was explained that everyone spoke common Helian but some places, like Garrath, had their own language.

Madaya asked if Islana knew any other languages. The redhead told them the few words she knew in Garrath, which were mostly terms for family members and a few terms that had been picked up from Alexis, leaving out some of the more colorful phrases- because of a child being there.

The mercenary was first on the huntress' mind with mention of Garrah. Her adopted older sister. The woman will always be associated with strength and kindness. Islana wasn't even sure Alexis realized just how much she helped the younger woman.

The place of Islana's own birth came next, Torja. With its woods, plains and oceanside. Of course this was the most familiar to the woman.

Hunter had been the only person she met who was also from Torja. Her thoughts still went to the man left in the village. Hopefully he had found a way out from there by now.

Mizar came next. Even though Islana had never been there she had heard people mention some of the shrines that were there. While Islana knew Mizar had its own language; after all that was how she knew both Voah and Shaila had come from there, but the redhead knew almost no words in that language.

Voah, who Islana thought was still an Arbiter, had been a bit surprising. Islana remembered being scared to meet the woman. Scared that an Arbitrator would have some kind of ability to instantly tell about Islana's gift. Unfounded fears perhaps but the root of it was real. Instead, the woman Islana met seemed kind, at least to her. Things likely would have been very different, if Voah had ever found out about her magik.

Then there was Shalia. The woman who had rescued her, enslaved her, in her own ways, sort of mentored her. Islana still didn't know what her future held, when it came to the Winter witch.

Mizar also brought up someone else, someone gone from the mortal world, Jyin. He had been from the Shrine-City of Cambena. The first friend she made in Arcadia. Never should his death have been the way it was. Something he said crossed her thoughts, a possibility…

That led to the last part of the verbal tour and Kru'll. Jungles, that's primarily what she knew about Kru'll was that it had a lot of jungles.

Of course the person synonymous with Kru'll, in the young woman's mind, was Gonyaul. She didn't really think everyone from Kru'll was like Gonyaul, he was just the only person she knew was from there.

Gonyaul was like a brother to her. Many people seemed to dismiss him or think of him as unwise but Islana saw a wisdom in him that was simplistic but still wise.

By what he would say to her, it made it seem like he believed Islana could accomplish something beyond what she was doing in Ostiarium.

Gonyaul had bestowed her with the nickname; Aiaf no Urag. Girl on Fire. She now wondered if maybe there was more to that nickname than just her hair.

While what Islana said had been brief and really just said the basics: the features of the different lands, maybe an interesting fact or two, it still took up some time.

Silence played between the young women another moment or two. Islana was wondering if she should mention the murders. Silina seemed to be contemplating her own thoughts.
